Bell Wharf Beach

Bell Wharf Beach

Bell Wharf is close to Old Leigh‘s renowned cockle sheds where you can see the working fishing boats bring in their bounty. With freshness second to none, it would be rude to visit and not to sample a taste of Southend!
Nearby the beachfront there are character pubs, a café, and The Boatyard, a stylish restaurant that offers a true waterfront experience.

Dog Control Orders: No dogs are allowed on Southend’s beaches between 1st May and 30th September. Every person in charge of a dog (except guide dogs) who permits the dog to enter or remain on the beach during this period can be fined.

Please note that a BBQ ban is in place – There is a current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place banning the use of BBQs on all Southend Beaches. Read more here.
