Thorpe Bay Beach

Thorpe Bay Beach

With wide views across the Thames Estuary, this beach is perfect for peaceful walks and relaxing by the coast. Stroll past its colourful, picture-postcard beach huts or stop off at one of the nearby cafés and restaurants for a bite to eat.

With easy access via a decked walkway leading down to the sand, it’s an accessible and welcoming spot, ideal for wheelchairs, pushchairs and a great day out by the sea for everyone.

Dog Control Orders: No dogs are allowed on Southend’s beaches between 1st May and 30th September. Every person in charge of a dog (except guide dogs) who permits the dog to enter or remain on the beach during this period can be fined.

Please note that a BBQ ban is in place – There is a current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place banning the use of BBQs on all Southend Beaches. Read more here.
