Westcliff Beach
Westcliff Beach (at low water and with suitable footwear) offers lovely walks and is superbly positioned for the world-famous Rossi ice cream parlour. You will also find the famous Archway Cafes, where you can grab a delicious snack or meal – al fresco in good weather – and enjoy watching the world go by.
On the shore stands The Genting Casino which offers great live music and entertainment, a restaurant, and of course the chance to gamble. A short uphill walk from the coastline you can find the Cliffs Pavilion, home to outstanding entertainment all year round.
Dog Control Orders: No dogs are allowed on Southend’s beaches between 1st May and 30th September. Every person in charge of a dog (except guide dogs) who permits the dog to enter or remain on the beach during this period can be fined.
Please note that a BBQ ban is in place – There is a current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in place banning the use of BBQs on all Southend Beaches. Read more here.
